How to sing your national anthem!

In the last Rugby World Cup that took place in France, in the months of september and october of 2007, Portugal become the first totally amateur team to get to the world cup level. The sport results were not the best (Portugal lost all the games it played in the group stage), but the enthusiasm and the dedication that the players showed during this games sent waves around the world. Specially the way the players sang the national anthem before the games. Some of my friends described the fervour that the players experienced during those moments, but only recently I found a video of it on the internet. There is a blend of sweat, tears, comradeship, fervour, pride, dedication and a lot of enthusiasm in this all-singing troop that I wanted to share with you in this post. It makes me smile each time I see it. It is both touching and (very) entertaining to watch, and together with the haka that the New Zealnd team shows right after, it makes one wonder if it is a sporting event or a ritual battle we are going to watch next.
